The Betulinines pilot plant is equipped with modern technological equipment designed for development, pilot production and has a robust quality control department, enabling monitoring of the quality of input raw materials, as well as quality control of our manufactured products in the QC department.
Our pilot plant includes a set of glass reaction vessels from 2 L to 100 L working volume, which allow us to scale-up any process practically from a laboratory diary in mg to kilogram batches and preparation for an industrial-scale production process. The pilot plant also has extraction equipment of various volumes, three circulating evaporators (2 L, 10 L and 100 L/h), enabling extraction of plant materials and subsequent concentration and processing of extracts. Other equipment includes chromatographic columns (3 - 20 kg of SiO2) for the necessary purification of products and a lyophilizer Cryodos Telstar. The technological infrastructure is complemented by the production of high-purity water, technological steam for heating and compressed air. Laboratory equipment includes, in addition to the usual ones, Heidolph vacuum evaporators, vacuum dryers, a ball mill and a sieving device. The QC department is equipped with an HPLC analytical and preparative system, a mass spectrometer Micromass Platform LC (Waters) APCI/ESI, IR Nicolet and UV/VIS spectrometers, a Kofler Block (for m.p.) and a polarimeter. Thanks to this, we have full control over the entire production process - from the input raw materials to the final product.
The facility meets demanding technical and hygiene standards and is designed with an emphasis on efficiency, quality and sustainability of production.
